Origen Energy is moving ahead with plans to install a Billion dollar battery at its Eraring power station on the shores of Lake Macquarie in NSW. It will store 700 Megawatts of power from any source including solar, wind, gas, and supply that into the grid when needed. Expressions of Interest have been sought from suitably qualified companies to supply and install the large scale battery. The battery can also supply the National Grid via the Eraring Substation. I wonder if our off shoot VRFB company are onto this?
