Most of your thoughts seem to be directed to a long term view which on the whole I must concur.

As for shorts - which seems isn't our problem here (simply one of MUFGs famous strategies for manipulating certain other stocks), well, it's prudent to stay on top of it as one can gleam insights from those going ons which definitely impacts the assessment of TA/charting, it's another piece of the puzzle.
My experience however is that while indeed their impact does balance out on time frames longer than months, they can certainly destroy a stock by various underhanded methods - spreading misinformation, boiler rooms/fake HC and social media accounts, digging for and exploiting skeletons, industrial sabotage, BOD defamation etc etc.
Perhaps i'm more suspicious than most, but I think we can all agree it happens.
I'm not talking retail shorters, it's funds and such like mufg to be wary of...

Anyway again the point of my post was to garner varying opinions as to what they are up to these days and thoughts what they may do after the 4C.
I'm never happy to see mufg become sub. holders in anything i'm invested in. I sold out of EML recently for this very reason.
