Yes, lucky you held off, cause by the looks of it they will be a whole lot cheaper tomorrow.
I tell you what I do when the markets are low at these levels.
If I'm ready to sell, and I think technically the stock or index is due to pull back.
I only sell the amount of shares to get my money back. So my profit stays in the shares and I don't get capital gains by having to pay tax on profits.
In the meantime I have still got holdings in the stock I just sold, for free so to speak.
Then you can go back and do it again when they fall to the previous support level.
