Olive- Not argueing that point as I agree. The question he posed is why other people sell on 1/7 and not wait till 30/6 in the same fin year. The answer is above and shows that if don't believe HDR has reached it's peak and you wish to gain and income in the meantime instead of wearing all your cap gain in one tax year.

Tax stategy should never overide trading stategy but if you can get a little advantage on the way - Why not do it
