This was not meant to circumvent the rules. I once had a post that I had spent ages typing up & researching later deleted by the moderator because of one line. I was pretty upset at the time, but it was pointed out to me by a moderator that I could retrieve the post, correct the offending line, and repost. I thought it might be helpful to pass that on.
As you correctly warn though, she would need to have altered any problematic point, & be in line with Hotcopper regulations.
