EM1 has seen a bit of selling off recently but the volumes are telling of whats happening. IMO the reason is, firstly EM1 is a bit of sell the news type stock and secondly savvy investors and day traders are shaking the tree to try and buy in at cheaper prices. I bought in another parcel today, although I am a long time holder so didnt dilute too much.
The data came out that without Job keeper out of every 8 travel agent only 1 will survive past April. This is while everybody in the country is cashed up and could have travelled locally.
Travel stock will probably be in negative territory for some time, The Morrison administration has been a royal mess & In this country we have got 8 prime ministers calling the shots in whichever direction they want and the funny thing is that the main prime minister is the least competent of them all.
If anything this is the proof that our federation simply doesn't work. We are not able to agree and operate as a unified nation at the time of crisis. Its more of a situation of everybody fend for themselves.
We need a centralized competent republic with no premiers. Just governors with far less powers than now.
How can we justify having NSW and Victoria pay the most taxes and yet QLD which closes its borders to both at will, benefits largely from Job Keeper and Job Seeker because its tourism industry doesnt do well? You close the borders, your tourism industry is a mess and we get to pay the bill?
Vaccination, not only our researchers bombed by using HIV virus and then wondering why subjects were returning a HIV positive result (I laugh every time I think about it), we betted on one of the worst possible vaccines. Think about it, the UK vaccine is so bad in terms of efficiency that UK themselves prefer to use Pfizer but we proudly advertise that we have managed to secure a 67% effective vaccine.
That is if everybody was vaccinated, 33% to 34% not could but WILL catch the virus. This could work in Europe or US that is not as panicky as Australia in terms of shut downs but not In Australia where if one person catches the entire country shuts down.
How could we even justify the rollout of UK vaccine? And Pfizer and Moderna? well months away before we could even get a single shot in.
