I'm tired of governments that don't do anything but buy votes and play populist politics. Howard wasted 10 years and now Rudd is doing the same thing.

Turnbull wanted to reform and simplify the tax system when he first got into parliment, but Costello shut him down. Why doesn't Turnbull revive that idea - his popularity couldn't get any worse. Get rid of all the deductions and reduce the overall income tax rate.

Instead they argue about a couple of hundred boat people showing up - who cares, how does that impact Australia really? Would anyone notice if it wasn't on the news every night?
