    Yes and no.

    Yes for the reasons you state - that there are fewer and fewer earnings enhancing investments as well as for targeted inclusion within funds that require dividends in order to feature within certain investment mandates.

    No for the reason that Warren Buffet states who is dead against dividends as he believes that as one of the greatest capital allocators ever and across the Berkshire Hathaway group he is able to identify and execute on opportunities superior to an individual investor dividend re-investment decision and he is able to juice it with leverage where a private investor is not plus also able to avert the dividend taxation event that comes with dividend payments.
