For me personally I found the APEC Summit in Sydney in 2007 to be the highlight of arrogance. For the citizens of Sydney to be fenced off within their own city was I think appalling. A woman photographer was grabbed and thrown to the ground when she attempted to grab a photo of a man being arrested. New laws were passed that prohibited certain individuals from entering 'restricted' zones within Sydney. And it was all just a show for the Americans. The Chaser crew highlighted how easy it was to bypass all the security.

The police were given excessive powers and indemnity from prosecution. So can somebody tell me again why we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq? I heard some muttering about protecting our freedoms.
