My simplistic understanding of the process would be:
(i) All potential buyers have sampled the end product.
(ii) All/most buyers are happy with it and want to buy it.
(iii) w it needs to be demonstrated that the product can be produced at scale and at consistent quality.
(iv) Once this is proven, the buyers will sign off-takes.
(v) Funding becomes available and we buold the f*cking mine.
(vi) We are all rich and @pabs gets flogged by 30 prostitutes each night until his dying days.
