Yes, yes you, @GCar and I are basically all saying the same thing in different words. To make this clear to others, what we are all saying is that
this process within stage three highlighted in the red box will no longer be needed. Straight from stage 2, some proportion (possibly high) will definitely be battery grade. This will be an impressive cash cow.
In the current flow, they will be adjusting or adding something to the end that will lower the Mg and possibly further reduce other impurities.
By the sounds of it, they have a very strong idea of what they need to do and this will get us to battery grade carbonate. I hope the images help clarify what the three of us have been trying to say. With this I believe stage 2 can actually be much bigger than was actually first anticipated due to the stronger cash flow that will be generated.
Yes @Thesi I totally agree, the discussion on the conference call was all about carbonate from SDV. Hydroxide will be produced from James Bay. However, sometime into the future should Hydroxide regain a huge premium to carbonate there is always an opportunity for them to partner up with someone and convert the carbonate into hydroxide somewhere else. But short term 3-5years, I simply see diversification. Mt C Spod, SDV carbonate and JB Hydroxide.
Anyway, lots of reasons to be excited going forward!
