Today's ABC radio was discussing the 2025 net emission and BPH's permit was briefly discussed by Sally White the ABC journalist.
It is almost impossible for an independent MP to even make amendments given the fact that the government is fully supportive of the NOPTA deal. For the independent MP to even discuss NOPTA this on the floor of the parliament she has to get at least some government (libral) MPs to agree with her to do so which is very very unlikely.
I speculate the NOPTA approval is almost done without any changes to the proposal by BPH and others.
