But you could say the same about eggs from battery chickens, or grain fed beef in feed lots, i worked on a pig kill chain from 1976 -2000 and i think they are humanely killed and i never gave thier intelligence much thought, i was just glad when the day was done and they were all dressed, gutted and split and headed for the chiller...
