Tradies earn to much because back in the late eighties we were all told we had to become the clever country and got to uni and become professionals as that is where the future lies. Guess what we did that and for about 15 years there was a lack of aprentices coming into the trades and when the economy took off there was a lack of supply in tradies to fill the demand. Lack of supply leads to higher wages. My guess is the minimum set hourly rate for a tradie is only about $20 -$25 an hour.Sure contractors and company outlets may get 60 -100 dollars an hour but most don,t. I have many mates working trades at the momement for around 27 - 30 dollars an hour flat rate.
