Not going to get into much with you Doz. But I've asked this of many holders and never gotten a response (just name calling and shade-throwing).
I, like you, was once very invested in Norwood and believed it was going to be signing some very big, important deals in the near future (at that time, that was 2017-2018).
After awhile, I got a little tired of their continuous announcements that stated things were "progressing" or looking "promising" but we never saw any hint of it (outside of NORs own announcements) and so I decided to sell. Thinking the money I had invested here could be invested elsewhere and may perhaps turn a profit a bit quicker. I got impatient. And in many cases, the impatient ones miss out. Warren himself says "the stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient.”
So, here I was in 2019, checking back in, thinking I might be kicking myself for selling because I was impatient. But no such outcome. And now it's 2021 and I'm certainly glad I moved my money.
My question for you, that you are by no means obligated to answer, and probably won't, but it might give you some more credibility as an investor who has a strategy and makes logical decisions.
At what time in the future, IF NOR hasn't signed a big deal (one of these Meta, MSFT, Oracle's), will you decide to call it quits on NOR?
See, saying "never" would show that you aren't taking a wise stance here, you're just going to go down with the ship. An illogical thing to do, but one driven by passion, emotion and not wanting to admit defeat. A wise investor, in my opinion, always has a worst and best case in mind. Always has an exit strategy for when things look pear shaped, or an exit for when things are so good a crash is likely imminent.
Many of us already hit out exit strategy when promises around a BIG 4 BANK and University, were not delivered.
I'm fine with you believing deals are imminent, but how many years into the future will that same statement "oh just wait, NOR is so close to a big deal" will that statement not be at all reasonable or logical?
Could you commit, that if by January 2023, NOR hasn't signed a big (more than a few million over 4 years, more like Oracle or something) deal, you will call it quits? Or could it be 2030 and you'd still yell at non-holders as the illogical, wrong ones?
I'm happy to commit that if NOR has signed a big deal (Oracle, Meta or something worth more than $5 mill per annum) by 2023, I will gladly admit I was wrong, make a Youtube Video of me drinking my own urine from a boot (and that would end my current career) and hand deliver you $500 and a signed, framed statement of my idiocy and general ineptitude at investing.
All I'm asking in return is that you commit to a date which you call it quits. Jan 2023 would be good, that way we're on equal footing. All you have to do is post in 2023 that you have given up hope and sold.
Other current holders refused to entertain the thought of ever admitting they were wrong. One, in particular, is over $300,000 in the hole. So, for them, I think defeat is not an option now. But surely and sane investor has a quitting point? A "yep, could be invested elsewhere" date?
Is it 2023? 2024? 2030?
If we're literally here in 2025 and NOR still hasn't signed a good deal and you're still talking them up, I may just find a way to buy 50% of the company, get rid of certain board members and turn it into an EB Games. Might make more money than NOR ever has. Just because I'll pity you so much I'll want to make your 7+ year investment worth something...
I know you don't want my pity. You think you're right. You believe NOR is a good stock. I get that. You'll have this post "how dare he pity me, he's the fool that SOLD" but I do pity you, nonetheless.
