Hmmm, who to believe... Qld's Chief Medical Officer had this to say....
"She said once a case was confirmed, people who had been in contact with that person would be given courses of Tamiflu.
``We're fortunate we have Tamiflu and we know that it's effective against the virus,'' Dr Young said. "

This is because all Australian Govt agency followed like sheep and ordered up Tamiflu in the early days (avian flu pandemic). They have stockpiles. They will try use them prior to expiry or put them into the market so they get a return. Even if Tamiflu isnot the right product for the times. They also will not acknowledge at this point in time scientific research which advises Relenza is superior to Tamiflu. We can all remember Tony Abott overlooking to a large degree an Australian discovery when the Federal Govt ordered a signicant proportion of its stockpile in Tamiflu. I think relenza is only 10 - 15% of Aus Fed Govt stockpile.
