That was a surprise that they increased their holding.
Pure speculation but maybe they are thinking of setting up a battery manufacturing plant in Australia and are looking at securing a lithium supply for it.
Someone like Australian Super would have the funds to do it and it would generate jobs here so why not.
They would keep existing staff at PLS and either buy an existing battery manufacturing plant or fund experts to set it up.
They would be the funders and not the runners of the operations.
