That is why people are fools if they follow the tips of the Gurus on HC, because some gurus will always buy before they declare and normally it will be those same people selling to the followers for a profit, but the Guru can argue that their tip was right, because the SP went up, but the problem is, that the only people that win are those that made the tip.
One time I invested some capital in a stock that I thought was good value for the short to mid term trade. It turns out that another poster on here with a love heart mentioned that he had bought the stock the night that I had purchased.
I emailed my closest mates that day and said that i liked this stock and it would be good for a short to mid term trade IMO. They agreed and very casually bought small parcels during teh day due to it's liquidity problem and barely effected the SP.
After reading the love heart clad posters declaration, I immediately rang my mates at 11.00pm. They were not impressed with the call. I said "She will run tomorrow, mark my words and get out at the first sign of selling pressure." Well we all did and enjoyed a lazy 110% return for a days work.
My concern is that people should be very carefull when following other people tips. being part of teh herd means you've already lost or just damn lucky.
