There are so many variables to pit depth. .

Certainly 300m is feasible, deeper than 300m can sometimes be more feasable than underground sometimes.

There are some mines with zero open cut, just shaft and down and some real deep open cuts plus 800m and no underground.

So there's no rule per say on depth as its ore body factors.

Tnr depth intercepts 1400 is most se, 1840 most nw.

As one can see, only half is test to depth, se half.

Drilling is at angle, not vertical, the deepest intercept is msrc025 about 210m vertical depth. Msrd001 tests the deep goodies here. Not in these assays.

With faults, I've mined in Vic. Varies, I've had reefs snap and end at them, other times reef picked up other side higher grade or lower, or even 25m or so off line. Ie deeper to find the reef.

They would identify hanging walls via drilling most times, or from old workings. Geology mainly.

Its flip the dice stuff cause any assay could return high as we have those near hanging wall, rest not drilling to give a guide at all.
