If you can afford to hold, just hold. SVL has all the makings of a very strong long term investment. You won't come across many silver resources like this, in a jurisdiction like Australia.
If you wanted to double your money overnight, and you needed that 40k, yes you might be f#$%d. But if it's not your rent money, just leave it and let it do its thing. I am a newbie to this particular stock, I'll admit I bought in on Monday when it was wild - but I've been looking at it for quite a while as I invest in quite a few miners, including particularly precious metals miners (and I have been buying bullion for a decade).
Anything that has a good resource, in a stable jurisdiction like Australia, with an eye to actually digging the stuff up, (and not just years of drilling and capital raises) is a good long term investment, and SVL ticks all three.
