And these appointments represent an attempt by the military junta to keep the economics of the country moving forward.
The appointments themselves are predominantly intelligent, experienced bureaucrats who know the Bawdwin project well.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out over coming months. Obviously, there are many unknowns still.
