I own shares in another company where patience is required so I'm approaching exhausted. But it doesn't mean I don't appreciate the process. The words 'due diligence' get thrown around like "pump n dump" nowadays, both meaningless as it's more often wrong than true.
However, ANP has been around for a long while, I can imagine the execs have a prefered business model they would like to follow. The alternatives that are presented to them as options to advance the company will almost never be the model they have planned. Partnerships, JV's, take overs, debt, equity etc, will rarely will be the exact path they had planned. The negotiations that follow can be new, different, complex and take a lot of time and consideration. On a daily basis, I reflect on ANP's future with this in mind as I watch the SP bounce around. Frustrating as it is, all I can do is believe and trust that our company is really doing due diligence which takes time and patience.
Personally, I think that a take over isn't the best outcome right now. In the future yes, but now now. It would be good to hear about a take over offer as it could help catapault the SP to a better level, but take overs only ever come at a reasonable and attractive premium to the current SP, not in the multiples I think this company and technology deserves. As for what the outcome will be, who knows ? I know how I'd like to see it structured, but without all the information, I can only invest and hope.
