The fundamentals of Gamestock were pretty poor. Bricks and mortar retail shops selling computer games on old CD/blue-ray technology in competition with masses of cheaper downloadable products. PLS is a well run company with an exclusive in-demand product and orders in the books. Shorting on PLS has been declining since last May and currently stands at less than 1% of shares traded. Pumping the stock by the likes of Chamath Palihaitya would have little impact and would only serve to temporarily destabilise the market.
