    logco,

What Medical Advice did he give?

And as for past work experience:

After leaving school, Chifley's first job was as a cashier's assistant at a local department store. He later worked at a tannery for a period, and then in September 1903 joined the
New South Wales Government Railways as a "shop boy" at the Bathurst locomotive shed.[5] Over the following decade, he was promoted through the ranks to engine-cleaner and fireman, and then finally in March 1914 to engine-driver.[6] Who would take medical advice from a former furniture salesman?

That’s a small sample of the history on a Prime Minister that was good enough to lead the Nation............ somehow I don’t believe his work experience held him back.

I find it interesting that having work experience in a variety of jobs should preclude people from an opinion.

Some of our politicians have never had a run of the mill job and have existed inside a “political bubble” akin to a sheltered workshop.......... how safe does that make them and others feel?

    MI
