I think I recall having seen a podcast last year where Julia's top pick was A2M. At that point A2M and APT were the same price around $15. The one is now 10 x the other and it isn't A2M.

My point here not being to point to any particular stocks but just to make the observation that analysts today seem to be less of an influencing force and more observers themselves of what the market does .. GameStop in US the prime current example of this.

I used to listen intently years ago to the recommendations of a very well regarded analyst on YMYC (your money your call) until he called a small mining company as his pick of the year based on the company receiving a multimillion dollar funding from an overseas fund which he noted must have meant good things were ahead.

Long story short there was never any loan, the company no longer exists and the MD went to jail, not as he should have for having basically lied to shareholders since day 1, but for a human resource incident.
I lost my investment (thank God only a couple of thousand dollars) and I learned not to listen to anyone but myself and my own research.
