I would say...(and have a look at the Annual reports) that the Directors are participating in the Employee share schemes. Some may not have vested at this point in time or at some point in the near future the company will issue shares to the directors at a vry low exercise price.
I have seen one company traisng in the $5 range that issued shares to the directors exercisable at $1 per 100,000 tranche.
