Advent takes out insurance with new NOPTA application, page-41

What a day!

I had a mini celebration this morrning after reading the announcement. I had read it for what it was just as Justadabble put it so eloquently in the header post.

However, I was surprised to see the sell off and spent some time re-evaluating. I had similar thoughts as @Flambeau ( post at 3pm) and agree their points have some validity. I don't begrudge them for selling out today and the sharing of their thoughts/interpretation I find helpful and informative.

Everyone has a different appetite for risk based on thier own circumstances (when they bought in, how long they have with the capital to wait and purely their own assesment and interpretation of the information). While I value everyones thoughts/interpretations immensely (bar a few that add nothing but white noise) my risk assessment based on the information is such that, fundamentally the landscape hasn't changed enough to consider releasing my holdings.

Every piece of "useful" information that comes across these threads is ultimately up to me to decide whether it is actionable based on my situation. I wish I had the skills/experience to sell when Flambeau sold above 31, but I am not there yet. Nevertheless it was a teaching moment for me, one I am grateful for.
