We were already looking for a proof of the Mt Charlotte' twin sister in Boorara but after initial success ... run out of exploration money... but the dream is still alive
(Unfortunately exploration is expensive and we need a lot of paper money to find substantial deposit of REAL money - GOLD)
    IMHO/DYOR:

"...Turning the rig around enabled the in-field team to drill perpendicular to the quartz veins and down the Dolerite host rocks on a 115 degree angle, instantly heralding a result.

Whilst drilling at that angle was unconventional, it was done on the advice of Macphersons’ technocrats who are no doubt students of history.

A similar method was adopted by Western Mining in the sixties when they discovered the true extent and grade of the 6m ounce Mt Charlotte mine at the northern end of the Super Pit.

According to Macphersons, the geology at Boorara is frighteningly similar to that of Mt Charlotte which went onto care and maintenance in 1916 after being mined from 1893.

It took Western Mining another 46 years to work out that the only way to discover the true grade in this type of geology is to drill perpendicular to the quartz veins which then resulted in Western Mining’s own bingo moment and the rediscovery of a massive economic resource at Mt Charlotte.

Since making this same revelation at Boorara, Macphersons have been like a dog who just discovered a bone graveyard, spending some $9m on exploration in the last year alone – and the results keep coming.

For example, drilling in March produced an impressive 158 metre intersection grading 1.6 g/t from the Southern Stockwork deposit. In July, drilling highlights included 10 metres at 6.2 g/t gold from the Crown Jewel prospect, 31 metres at 3.56 g/t gold and 5 metres at 13.17 g/t gold in the Southern Stockwork prospect.

Recent drilling identified a new gold system of narrow, high-grade veins that are associated with faults and visible gold. Intriguingly, his new system is distinctly different to the quartz vein arrays that have been the traditional target at Boorara.

The project contains more than 1.5 kilometres of mineralisation divided into the Southern Stockwork, Crown Jewel and Northern Stockwork deposits. Historic mine workings at Boorara produced 172,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 18.8 g/t up to the 1920’s..."
