Depends man. I think apartments are a trap. To me land is the safest investment one could buy depending on location. My goal in shares is just a quick boost to my salary to secure more property faster. I have a few positive geared houses paying itself off. Glad you have a financial plan, its those that dont that are doomed. Im still early 30s and will retire before 50 living off rental income.
also bought my first home 4 years ago for 320k. Sold for 540k 2 years later to upgrade.
