Fair point - personally I like seeing charts on the threads. Sure I can get live data but you process a lot of information during the day and there's too many codes mentioned to check them all out. A picture paints a thousand words to me but interested to know what others think.
Another option may be to block images - I use AdBlock Pro to selectively block images from certain sites. Block images from bigcharts.com and a couple of image hosting sites as they come up and you should get a nice streamlined version.
