It's easy to explain valid shorting. A stock that's got an inflated SP based on pure speculation, or on hiding poor outlooks etc is vulnerable to attack.
But a stock that's been attacked by misleading or false claims is vulnerable to predatory shorting.
It's easy to hide the ultimate beneficial holder, there can be various transfers of ownership.
I'm not explaining short ladder attack you can DYOR for that. But you can see how weakening holder's resolve can happen with coordinated moves in social media to back the shorts. That happened with the insto push-back on GME. That and a few other tricks.
It's obvious to me what's been happening with MSB and I've been keeping my own records. I have no need to share them with you. There have been inadvertent admissions from time to time as well. But don't worry the regulators won't be on the case for a while. The days of a slap on the wrist with a limp lettuce leaf are limited. Rightly so.
