This whole thread is unbelievable. The government has seized on a golden oportunity to create jobs when they are most needed. Nothing to do with defence. Any pretence by the Chinese that this massive build up is "alarming" is nothing more than laughable. Our miserably small population is undefendable, on our own, against overwhelming numbers from the north, or from the south if it comes to it! Even if they are armed only with primitive weapons. As for Australia being any sort of threat to China militarily, again, laughable.
