Hmmmm... I really don't see a lot of immediate relevance of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to Avexa. It is interesting though, that the Foundation's eyes have turned to Australia - one could hardly look in this direction with the notion of AIDS medical matters without noticing Avexa.

    However:
    1. Bill G. didn't become the world's richest by being nice to other corporations. Quite the reverse. If the Foundation has any interest in acquiring a stake in Avexa, it would be more likely to do so when Avexa was at it's last gasp (should that ever come to pass), and could be acquired for a song.

    2. Bill G's ambition is not to be underestimated. His goal would be more in the line of helping to find a cure for AIDS rather than a 'mere' treatment. Apricitibane/ATC may qute possibly be the best treatment to emerge, but it's no cure: not Nobel Prize material.

In conclusion, I would expect the Foundation to be much more interested in 'pure' science rather than 'applied'. If a cure or vaccine is to emerge, it will emerge from research science, not from the sort of product development we've got with Avexa's ATC.

Now Avexa'a Integrase, that's another matter. I'll leave that until I look more closely at its potential.
