Price is determined in large part by how many dollars it saves insurance companies in hospitalisation costs.
ICU costs in range of US$10 000 per day so on average if a treatment saves 15 days of ICUs costs thats US$150 000 in savings to insurance companies so a treatment that costs $75 000 is great value to insurance companies so good business decision on their part.
