I agree, however the advantage of ALZ is that it owns real assets, i.e. in theory protected against inflation, also the possibility of growth when the recovery comes. While it is a non issue now, inflation is likely to appear sometime soon due to world wide government actions. In this case rents etc are cpi linked, while the face value of bonds are constant. By the way I think both are good investments.
