A small (currently soon to be big) portion of the business does. The 3D high resolution products data is hosted by 3DP. I’ve actually used it and it’s pretty neat. Digital Twins is the keyword to search if your interested - very cool 3D mesh modelling. The current business is a direct comparable to NEA though (2D aerial imagery) which doesn’t use the point cloud. AMX’s business doesn’t solely rely on the point cloud similar to Woolworths not relying on Nestle to turn a profit.
It makes me wonder why 3DP don’t build an interface and do everything themselves. They only host data at present & the actual visualisation tool they have is mediocre. I think there are three components to be very dominant in the sector - a) front end interface, b) back end mapping & c) data hosting. Maybe in the future 3DP acquires NEA & AMX?
