It sounds like he’s saying that from Feb 2022 (2 years after the announcement), they will be targeting a higher production rate than 2ktpa.
I assume this is the ramp up point towards 10ktpa; in other words, they’ll operate the 2ktpa module for about 6 months, until Feb 2022, and by then they expect to have added at least some extra capacity, working gradually towards the 10ktpa target...?
Maybe we’re reading too much into it? We all know that the 2ktpa plant is merely the first part of a bigger plan. Perhaps he had some questions about why the 2ktpa step, or how long they plan on “only” producing 2ktpa..?
Imo, it’s all just part of the de-risking and staged capital approach, just like the original ponds and pilot plant. Build it and they will come.
