Yes, Pecs, it is a back flip that will annoy the Greens but do the government no harm electorally. The quote "first of the backflips" is being speculative but I expect there will be more backflips to come based on economic circumstances or further research on the issues. It will be interesting to see whether Turnbull now does a backflip and oppose now that the Government is doing what Turnbull asked for. I shouldnt pre-empt that and will give him the benefit of the doubt.
