    Alan,

    Is the important issue here that the right decision be made. Turnbull was right in wanting to delay things due to the economic situation and the government is now acknowledging that. What is ridiculous is that the Opposition is still going to not agree to the scheme even though they wanted to put it back a year as is now proposed and it will be interesting to see what happens in the Senate. Probably another fiasco where the Opposition will be outmaneuvered again.

    Like I said electorally the decision to delay wont harm Rudd one bit and probably it will make him more popular as people are truly worried about the global economic conditions. Turnbull on the other hand continues to confuse and alienate the electorate by his overly negative stance. I am convinced he needs to go and Costello or maybe the enforcer Abbott would do a better job.
