The Australian Government (mainly LNP) meddles with policy so much to help out its mates (Murdoch, Costello at Nine etc.) that decent management (Trujillo etc.) can't be bothered and go elsewhere so Telstra end up with time servers. They just did the same thing at Australia Post, Holgate was kicking goals but they didn't want dynamic leadership. Better to replace her with a time server, easier if it falls apart so they can privatise later."
