above link is on refinery level impacts.
Goulamina spodumene metallurgy shows that it is not so amenable to good lithia recoveries using DMS + flotation, due to the fine grained spodumene. Hence to 100-150 and full flotation. Google “abundancy” and Mali Lithium for source.

Goulamina met testwork consisted of finding an SC6 with battery grade characteristics. To do this the company had to grind to fine sand consistency to liberate enough impurities to achieve this status.

however questions remain on calcination stage for such a fine grind size (grinding finely can affect amenability also) then the leaching to refine to Lithi

my questions also find support and context in below link from independent metallurgical engineer researchers :

page 3. Is the point of interest here considering the SC6 100-150 requires a non/conventional calcination process.Books.pdf

it is why I say the DFS is a dFS, it is not complete until the SC6 shows amenability.

any one interested can ask, may be this is why DoC avoided discussing in detail the SC6 fines amenability to being BG lithia feedstock, because metallurgical outcomes directly point to the novel issue of calcinating 100-150 fines?

shareholders deserve to know beyond logistics what happened on the metallurgical front, and therefore another reason for Chris Evans leaving.

    tech is improving however
