    I was accepting Dargie's position on the issue. I understood from what he said that the credits would cease.

    Now the example that you quote of AWE - ARQ may well be true. But in that case isn't it a situation of two Australian companies ?
    Maybe the rules would be different in the case of NZOG ( an NZ located company) taking over PPP (an Australian based company)
    I don't pretend to be expert in these matters and I presume Dargie may well be able to comment on that issue of what happens to the credits.

    I know that in certain circumstances of major changes in shareholding / takeovers then certain tax credits cease on the takeover.
