The amount of debt taken on board is likely minuscule compared to the probable cost of external consultant reports over the timeframe we are looking at. The company might not have 'big runs on the board' as yet but the people working for the company might from their previous employment - there in no knowing unless we see their CV's.
Ah well, I'm sure they (VUL management) had their reasons for the purchase, whatever they may be. Let's see how the new recruits perform over the next 18 months and post dfs we can come back and discuss how they did, be it good or bad.
I'm optimistic they can get the job done well but we are all free to our own opinions.
