Can I see a citation for that, please? In my opinion, Financial Planners/Advisors are selling bulldust. They aren't selling you anything that you can't do yourself, with a little effort.
Just like suburban Tax Agents who do tax returns for people who only have a job, a mortgage and no other investments. You don't need a Tax Agent in that situation. But people are too lazy to use e-tax.
The difference is, your risk as a client is very small when you use a Tax Agent. Not so the Financial Planner/Advisor.
