short term trader do no try to "predict" the market. they find support and resistance (basically) then use those zones to make higher probability trades.
there are plenty of profitable short term traders, me being one of them.
i trade ASX stocks and futures, forex and US markets, all on a short term basis, using 90% tech analysis.
