Steroids have side effects?
People are throwing this statement out without really understanding what they're saying.
Do local steroid injections have the same side effects as systemic? I addressed this earlier.
All I was saying is that the evidence for steroid injections is mixed, but it is what is currently used as part of the standard of care for CLBP.
Why they didn't use it as a control is something that is worth asking.
And pointing towards the fact there are studies showing steroid work and studies showing that they don't just proves the fact that CLBP is complex, multi factorial and a single study doesn't prove efficacy.
