Admiralty's Vallenar and Besalco settle dispute

Sydney - Tuesday - March 31: (RWE Aust Business News) - Admiralty
Resources (ASX:ADY) subsidiary in Chile, Vallenar Iron Co, has
reached agreement to settle the ongoing arbitration process between
itself and Besalco Maquinarias.
Besalco filed for arbitration proceedings against Vallenar Iron
claiming that Vallenar Iron was in breach of its contracts for late
payment of Besalco Invoices.
Vallenar Iron presented a countersuit against Besalco claiming
$US83 million in damages for Besalco's failure to meet targets.
Besalco subsequently filed a countersuit against Vallenar's
countersuit claiming $US10m in damages for interest charges on late
payment of invoices, mobilisation and demobilisation expenses and
severance pay.
The terms of the settlement agreement are that Vallenar Iron
receives a payment of $US600,000 from Besalco.
Neither Vallenar Iron nor Besalco will seek any addition
financial compensation from each other.
All of the liens placed against Vallenar Iron's mineral
exploration and exploitation concessions and ore stockpiles in favour of
Besalco are lifted.
Vallenar Iron and Besalco will not take any further legal action
against each other in the future in relation to these contractual
disputes.
Besalco has agreed to remove its mineral processing plant and
associated mine infrastructure facilities at its own expense.
Besalco will be exclusively responsible for the severance payment
to its employees if applicable.
