Interesting for all you followers of KAR I am amazed that with such technical analysis that his part of the equation has escaped people …………. The key point exactly Mr. Merrill Lynch is that testing is NOT NORMALLY undertaken UNLESS confidence levels are sufficiently high that a commercial discovery has been made …… oh really!!!!!!

Of course they aren’t going to spend millions more with the drill rig over the next 2 weeks testing if they didn’t have a commercial find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And as for being unsure of why they didn’t drill to the bottom YA are you sure they didn’t – positive in your assumption there?

I would have thought unless you were one of the Geo’s on the Sedeco you wouldn’t be able to make that prognostication?

You also posted that WPL blew up a well – perhaps KAR and CoP recognized that and thought WWO look at what we have let’s not push it??

– my thoughts are these people are world class in their field and they drilled to exactly where they wanted too and more than likely that was the end of the reservoir…… unless of course I can be shown otherwise with exact data – I think I will stick with the drilling teams decision therefore their analysis - keep it coming though i agree with others your posts are good but there are ? also

Production Flow Test
This afternoon management announced that they will conduct a full production
test upon completion of fishing operations and detailed logging. From start to
finish this will likely take 2-3 weeks. The key point here is that testing is not
normally undertaken unless confidence levels are sufficiently high that a
commercial discovery has been made.
Data from the flow test will allow a better estimate on the reservoir characteristics
(porosity and permeability) particularly around flow rates and as a result a first
pass on recoverable reserves. Critically, a flow test will also yield more data on
fluid composition i.e. liquids and inert gas content.
