I am not an expert on NZ imputation creadits and their survivablity, but I understand that your comment is correct.

But, this is an Australian corporate entity (PPP) and the franking credits would survive if an acquisition was made. I was at first surprised that PPP had any Aussie credits.

The tax paid in NZ allows for NZ imputation credits for Australian companies as AWE paid a FF dividend and a NZ imputed dividend. The Franking creadits came via ARQ merger and the NZ credits from NZ tax paid on Tui revenues.

Your last comment is also correct, as NZOG has no Australian operations and therfore pays no Aussie tax, but as a New Zealand corporate entity paying tax in NZ, it can offer some benefits to Australian divs for Australian holders. PPP and AWE cannot offer this as they are Australian companies. (yes they have NZ subs, but the parent pays the dividends)

Hope this helps, as its complex.
