The stumbling block on the Ni/Co project is the huge capital cost - there are lots of mega projects out there that have never been developed since the risk/capital cost has always been a bridge too far. This may change in the future if commodity prices keep rising. However, it also may not change if other more commercially attractive deposits are found as these will be developed preferentially before the deposits in the 'too hard' basket.
